To evolve the visual identity of Pier 360, I developed a brand system that honored the Pier’s iconic legacy while channeling the bold, fresh spirit of the event. The branding features modern, coastal-inspired typography and a logo that echoes movement and flow—mirroring the rhythm of the waves and the event itself. A clear set of brand guidelines established consistency across all materials, using bright tones, hand-drawn illustrations, and clean compositions. Art direction emphasized dynamic, candid moments—from paddleboarders in motion to friends cheering on the beach—bringing the event’s energy to life visually. From signage and programs to merchandise and social content, every design detail was created to feel engaging, sunlit, and unmistakably Santa Monica.
